It's a story about how an India monk, Bodhidharma, became the founder of Chinese Chan Buddhism. In the year 527 C.E. a large three-sailed ship departed from India carried Bodhidharma across the vast India Ocean to Guangzhou, China. A forest starts with a few trees, and each tree starts with a small seed. Bodhidharma felt that he should plant the seeds of Chan Buddhism in China.
