High above the rest of the world, nestled among the Mimalaya and Kunlun mountains, is the place Tibetan Buddhism has been flourishing for over one thousand years. By the late 14th and early 15th century C.E, there were already more than twenty different Buddhist sects in Tibet and as the time went by, Buddhist monks in Tibet gradually started becoming corrupt, until one day a brave wise young monk Tsongkhapa came to Gong-thang and dramatically saved Tibetan Buddhism from its darkest time.
