A little chameleon doesn't understand why his skin changes color. Sometimes, his friends can't see him because his skin has changed to match the color of his surroundings. He feels like an outcast and wants to be normal like the rest of his non-chameleon friends. When he learns that his color-changing ability can protect him from danger, he feels better about himself.
