Our Story

BookTeller is a service of the Moker Group, founded in 2005 with the vision that child literacy in both their hometown and across the world could be dramatically improved by bringing engaging children's content to the convenience of the home computer.

BookTeller distributes animated and narrated children’s book via the internet using our BookTeller Reader program that lets parents “check out” twenty books at a time. Children can interact with the books by themselves, or with the help of their parents.

Originally based out of Zhangjiang High Tech Park in Shanghai, Moker has offices in Taipei, and will soon be opening its first American office in San Francisco. Moker was the 2008 recipient of the Technology Innovation Award granted by the Government of China. In the same year, Moker’s animated book “Cloud Bread” won the Best E-Book Award from the Government of Taiwan.
