This is a legendary story concerning the disappearance of a lot of children because the dishonest mayor in the Hamelin Town in Germany. While Hamelin Town was suffering from a rat infestation, a man with pipe came up with the claim of removal of the rats, in return the mayor promised him of a great deal of gold. Despite the piper's success, the mayor reneged on his promise and refused to pay the piper, which made the piper seek revenge.
